We see in western countries that many young women from Muslim families show interest in marrying non Muslim men.

This is becoming a growing problem, because even though their parents advise them that this is not allowed in Islam, they don’t listen.

Is there any flexibility in this matter, so that a Muslim woman can marry a non Muslim man?

I would like an answer from you about my question, since you are most knowledgeable about religious matters

A Christian (Catholic) male has proposed marriage to me and I have agreed, since he is truthful, believes in God and is sincere. But I want to ask your advice, is it allowed (for me) to marry him? And is marrying him permitted (halal) or forbidden (haram) before God. I am asking you this because I am a Muslim female and I would like an answer from you, because I am confused about it (some people say it is allowed and some say it is forbidden, so now I am turning to you). Thank you.

السلام عليكم

أرجو منكم الإجابة على سؤالي لأنكم أكثر علماً بأمور الدين، تقدم إلى خطبتي رجل مسيحي (كاثوليكي) وأنا وافقت؛ لأنه إنسان صادق ومؤمن باالله ومخلص، لكنني أود أن أستشير حضرتكم، هل يجوز الزواج به ؟ وهل الزواج به حلال أم حرام عند االله ؟ أنا أسأل هذا السؤال لأنني مسلمة، أرجو منك الإجابة على سؤالي لأنني حائرة في أمري (فالبعض يقول حلال والبعض يقول حرام والآن أنا ألجأ لك)، شكراً.

If you are a Muslim female then you are not permitted to marry a non Muslim male.
